What is the sports nutrition program?
Dr. Michelle Pearlman Explains
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THE SPORTS NUTRITION PROGRAM?
This program is ideal for those interested in improving their sports performance and recovery whether it’s on the field, in the gym, or working out at home.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR INITIAL SPORTS NUTRITION CONSULTATION
Provide paper copies of any lab work over the preceding six months (pertinent labs include the following: complete blood count (CBC), complete metabolic panel (CMP), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), vitamin D, vitamin B12, urinalysis (UA). If you do not have labs performed within the preceding six months, we can order these for you at the time of your visit.
Bring a list of your medications including over-the-counter supplements and herbals.

DOES THIS PROGRAM PROVIDE GUIDANCE FOR BOTH ON AND OFF SEASON?
Yes! We understand that throughout the year, you will be training for different sporting events or need time to recover. By signing up for our membership, we can tailor our recommendations to accommodate your training schedule.
DO I HAVE TO BE AN ATHLETE TO BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM?
No! Although we provide guidance to athletes who are training for marathons or other planned events, we also develop programs for those who just want to maximize their gains at the gym or maintain their muscle mass to reduce the risk of falls or bone fractures.
